Caring Quilters of Kingston: Quilting for a Good Cause
If you have some spare time, enjoy quilting and would like to contribute to a good cause, you're cordially invited to join the Caring Quilters of Kingston. Under the guidance of Jane Lay, the Caring Quilters create quilts and donate them to charitable organizations in the Kingston area. Over the past few years, completed quilts have been given to Almost Home, a home-away-from-home for the families of children who require medical treatment in Kingston, and local Children's Aid societies. The fabric and batting are donated -- you give your time. The next meeting is on Friday, March 2 from 10:00 am to noon at Quilt & Stitch. Please bring your sewing machine if you can. The coffee/tea pot will be on.
